Weakest Occupation “Blacksmith” Become The Strongest – Chapter 6

TL: NyX
ED: Onihikage

TLN: I was wondering about it, Relius called Lynn’s Father with 義父 which can be meant StepFather/Foster Faster/Father-in-law and Lynn’s Mother with 義母 which is kinda the same. But i think would be better to change them with just Oji-san and Oba-san.
Just hit me up if everyone want to give a suggestion about it.
Enjoy~

Chapter 6 – Be Careful of Duplication

That night, the only people still around were the inn’s guests. Even they were mostly in their rooms, so only Lynn’s parents were in the cafeteria. They had wrinkles between their eyebrows, so I called out to them and came over.

“What happened?”

They looked at me with a mildly troubled expression.

“Ah, Relius. I, uh, I got frustrated that the bed in room 201 has already gotten uncomfortable. We’re thinking it’s time to replace it.”

“Oh, so that’s it.”

“We just don’t have enough money right now, so I’m wondering what to do about it.”

They both sighed. A bed, huh? It came to mind that I could already make one with just magical power.

“If that’s all it is, should I make it?”

“Huh? What do you mean, make it?”

“I’m a Blacksmith, so I can make a bed.”

“Huh… really? I guess Blacksmith was actually a pretty useful occupation…”

My uncle nodded while muttering to himself, but Auntie shook her head, uneasy. “Hold on a minute, Relius… wasn’t Blacksmith supposed to be an occupation that can only make weapons?”

“I thought so too, at first, but it turns out if I destroy something with my Divine Treasure, I can recreate it.”

“I see… I guess that’s a thing as well. In that case, I’d like to ask… well, how long will it take?”

“It’ll probably be finished as soon as I start.”

“That quickly!?”

My aunt almost shouted in surprise, and Uncle couldn’t hide his amazement either. Did I say something strange?

“What does that mean, Relius?”

“Mmm… if all I wanted to do was make a duplicate of something, I could do it right now…”

“W-Wait a second… you’re serious? No fooling?”

“Y-Yeah…”

I’m not at all familiar with production occupations, but isn’t it normal for them to make things instantly like I’ve been doing? I guess it’ll be faster to just show them.

I destroyed a nearby chair with the hammer, then recreated it with my magic. When it appeared back in the same place, both of them opened their mouth and eyes widely.

“Wh-Where did it come from! H-How did you do that?”

“Uh… I just made it and took it out?”

“Th-That’s impossible! Usually you have to make these things from pieces of wood, it takes time!”

Wait, really? I had never actually seen anyone else make furniture, so I was under the impression that anyone with such an occupation could make it like that.

“A-Anyway, I roughly understand now that a Blacksmith’s ability is actually amazing. So, Relius, can you make a bed in room 201 right now?”

“Yeah, I’ll get right on it.”

I agreed to it with a nod and went over to room 201. My uncle also followed me there like an innocent child. After entering the room, I headed to the bed in question. Sitting on it, it certainly seemed stiff. Moreover, it seemed like the bed’s legs were fragile as well, sinking more than I would have expected. It made unpleasant noises just from moving a little.

I think it’s better to just recreate everything, including the mattress.

“You certainly can’t expect anyone to get a good night’s sleep on that thing anymore, right?”

“Yeah. This bed seems like it’s about ready to fall apart.”

I destroyed the bed at once and collected its materials, then used up magical power to recreate it. Using what I’ve learned recently, that I can increase the rank of what I make by adding extra magic power. Using more than usual, a brand new S-rank bed was complete.

I set it down where it was originally, startling my uncle.

“You… you really can do it in an instant…”

“Hehe, so what do you think of this bed?”

“Wh-Whoa, what is this!?”

Wasn’t it good? My uncle got on the bed and practically bounced on it a few times.

“A-Amazing, it’s so fluffy! It’s much better compared to the bed in the other room!”

“I see, so that’s good, then.”

“Th-This isn’t the kind of bed you’d usually find in our inn, though! It wouldn’t be strange to find a bed like this in a high class inn! This is amazing, Relius! Thank you!”

“I’m glad I could help…”

I really owe them a lot, Auntie and Uncle.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to take the time to recreate the furniture in the other rooms as well. It’s impossible to do it all at once because it consumes magical power, so…”

That’s the least I can do to repay what this family has done for me. Uncle nodded with tears in his eyes.

“I’d greatly appreciate it if you could do that for me! But please, only do it in your spare time!”

“Yeah, I get it.”

Well, it’s actually another way to gain experience. Anyway, after recreating the furniture in room 201, I went back to my room.

The occupation of Blacksmith… certainly doesn’t seem to be a combat occupation, but it may be a good fit for daily life. I haven’t been able to find anything that Blacksmith can’t recreate, though I’m simply not high enough level for some things.

For example, the books over there. With only magic power, I can make a complete and perfect copy. It even seems possible to make magic stones… I’m just not at a high enough level yet.

More weapons might become available for crafting once I get beyond level 6. At that point, there wouldn’t be any benefit in creating normal things over and over again. I’d need to secure more materials in the future, too. Magic stones cost money. Working at the inn pays some, but I can’t afford to buy much right now. Money, money… what should I do to get more? It would be nice to be able to duplicate money, but I probably can’t.

…W-Wait, I can? Well, that would be bad, wouldn’t it? I was afraid I might get found out later, so I decided not to duplicate money.

  1. ok this is getting out of hand,

I guess on his max lvls he can duplicate ANYTHING , i mean by anything it also involves divine weapons. Imagine Lynn dual wield those infinity +1 weapons.

How bad can that be? right?

  2. THIS GUY CAN DUPE MONEY. Nuff said; time to destroy the economy of this country.
Jk, But damn that’s impressive! Wait a sec… He said he could be able to make magic crystals… Doesn’t that mean he can make his own materials for big project?! NANI

    1. MC already has one F rank stone. Why doesn’t he duplicate it and sell it at the Adventurer’s Guild? After all, this way he won’t cheat by “making” money, and he’ll earn higher rank stones. It’s like with Rockefeller. He bought an egg, hard-boiled it and sold it. With the money he earned, he bought two eggs, cooked and sold again. And so on. Literally a self-reinforcing spring.

  3. Yup! It’s another boring cheat code after all. The author doesn’t seem to understand the meaning of the word Blacksmith does he? I mean this is just a game developers creation toolkit he’s spamming!
This is the problem with OP cheats or characters, like say, Superman for instance. It means you need to create the equivalent of Kryptonite just to weaken them and level the playing field so you have at least some dramatic interest to follow?
Otherwise it’s just a list of easy and expected OP victories.
Relius’s ability would also easily destroy an economy if misused, and he would likely be hunted down and killed by those in power as a threat…lol
