Chapter 6 – Honeymoon

Part 1

I’m flying to the east now on the flying magic carpet.

“♪♪♪♪.”

Why am I heading to the east… It’s because of the source of that humming.

“You’re in a perfect mood, huh?”

“Isn’t that obvious, Demon King-dono?”

This guy who calls me the Demon King is the Demon ancient, Chrysal.

This bastard has become fond of me because I have dark magic and has called me the Demon King. The Demon King seems to be a special existence for the Demon race, and I get the feeling that the Chrysal really admires me.

“To have such a useful magic item, as expected from the Demon King-dono.”

“Stop calling me that Demon King.”

“Isn’t the Demon King-dono the Demon King?”

“Hah… just do what you want.”

I lay back down lazily.

“Ufufu, Chrysal is quite a big deal to make Tsukuru look so troubled.”

Antia covered her mouth with her hand and laughed.

“Why is Demon King-dono in trouble?”

They’re talking amicably, but these two were supposed to be the Ancient breeds, and they were supposed to be hostile, right?

“Oh, there it is. That’s my castle. Demon King-dono, I’ll have my servants prepare for a warm reception.”

As soon as he saw the castle in the distance, which looked more like a hollowed-out piece of sharp rock than a building with a pointed roof, Chrysal jumped out of the flying magic carpet.

Chrysal, whose wings were made of magic, flew into the rock castle at high speed.

“Is he going to listen to me or not…”

“It’s really unusual for Tsukuru-san to be confused.”

“Allie, I’m not the least bit confused.”

When we arrived at the castle, the Demon race lined up in front of the gate to welcome us. There are many different kinds of Demons, including the ones I know, such as Arachne, Centaurs, Minotaurs, and many others.

We were given too much hospitality, but when I learned that some of the classmates had been taken prisoner in this castle, I asked Chrysal to release them.

“That’s all very easy. What else do you have in mind, Demon King-dono?”

Hannah poured the sake into a cup, and I drank it down. It’s said to be the best liquor in the castle of the Demon race, it’s not bad, but it’s not insanely delicious either.

“No, that’s all. I’m sorry, but please.”

“Hey, bring those guys in.”

There were eighteen classmates who were brought in, and they all looked terrible. We had a banquet in the great hall, and my classmates looked horrified that they thought they were going to be eaten.

“They look pretty awful, but they weren’t tortured or anything, were they?”

“I have no taste for torturing soft people like this, you know.”

Chrysal replied bluntly.

“Ah, are you going to eat us?”

One of the classmates asked fearfully, but look closely, I’m not the only one here. Ichinose is here too, you know.

“Rejoice, you people will be released.”

The classmates buzzed.

“The Demon King-dono here is going to take care of you people.”

That’s where the classmates saw my face for the first time and immediately noticed Ichinose beside me.

“I-Ichinose-san!?”

“Everyone is going to be okay now. I’ll explain what’s going to happen.”

The classmates would be relieved to have Ichinose to handle it. I waited for them to calm down as I chatted with Chrysal. Once they had settled down, Ichinose would confirm whether they would return to Japan or stay in this world.

“No one will remember us if we go back to Japan…?”

This time, unlike with Kujou and the others, I told them about the situation in Japan.

“How are we supposed to live in Japan with that kind of situation?”

“You’re mistaken about that. It’s the person who summoned you to this world that’s to blame. It’s not right for you to complain to Ichinose.”

There were some people who showered Ichinose with strong words, but my words shut them up. However, about three of them still bit back, so I applied a murderous intent to those guys to shut them up and then nailed them.

“If you keep saying what you want, I won’t help you.”

If they say whatever they want about this, I’ll just throw them out.

“T-the Demon race has killed everyone, don’t we have the right to demand compensation?”

That’s quite an exciting thing to say. It’s ridiculous that the guy who danced with the old bastard in the first place to get into the war is talking about compensation.

“What are you talking about, you’re a soldier from a defeated country, aren’t you? You can’t complain about being forced to perform executions and forced labor. You can’t complain about getting carried away, either.”

My words silenced the classmates.

“I can’t be bothered to deal with idiots like you. I’ll give you five minutes to decide if you want to go back to Japan or stay, so decide now.”

“N-no way!?”

“Stop mumbling. The countdown is already on. I won’t do anything if you don’t decide.”

The three of them were still biting back, but the five minutes went by in the blink of an eye. Ten of the eighteen have chosen to return to Japan. Those ten seemed to be tired of living in a world where their lives were in danger just from living a normal life.

Six decided to remain in this world, so I asked Canaan to send them to the country of the human race ruled by Doppel-kun using [Space-Time Magic (5)]. As for the remaining two, these guys’ occupation was made into villagers, and then I threw them out of the Demon race’s castle.

Those two are the ones who have bought female beastmen and elven slaves and killed a number of them. I don’t mean to say anything about killing enemies in war. Still, since they buy slaves for sexual gratification and kill them with physical violence as well as sexual violence, I decided that they are not worthy of help.

They can live in the territory of the Demon race and do whatever they want. No, I don’t know if they can survive, though.

I’m now back in Japan with my wives, having settled things with the old bastard. The season has changed from winter to early summer, and the snow that had been piling up on the ground has not melted yet.

After taking a short time to relax in the warm sunshine, we leave our base and get on the Shinkansen. I took two double-row seats and a three-row seat, and every 30 minutes, one of my wives, who would sit next to me, would switch positions.

From the outside view, it’s a complete riajuu harem, and that’s actually true, so I can’t say anything about it, but… No, Sanya is my sister!

The seven of us were having a good time chatting and occasionally being fed sweets, and the men around us gave me a murderous look. It’s okay, this is our honeymoon, after all! So we are going to the grand shrine at Ise for our honeymoon.

We got off the Tokaido Shinkansen at Nagoya, and we decided to rent a car and drive to the shrine from Nagoya. I’m already nineteen years old, so I have a driver’s license. I have a Japanese driver’s license, so I have no problems with driving. I didn’t have a family register, so I had to make one for myself, though.

The beginner’s mark is a bit new to me, but I’ll be driving this car. We rented a wagon so that Canaan, Hannah, Sanya, Antia, Ichinose, Allie, and I could ride comfortably.

We took the Tomei Expressway from the Nagoya Expressway and drove to Mie Prefecture, getting off at Kuwana. The reason we got off at Kuwana is that we decided to eat Kuwana’s famous roasted clam.

As we drove down the road along the coast, we saw clams being roasted in front of a shop, so we stopped the car and bought some roasted clams.

“Delicious!”

“Yes, it’s very delicious and has a rich sea aroma!”

Everyone loved the roasted clams, but of course, Canaan ate ten by herself. She’s still a glutton, but her stomach is such a black hole that this gluttony level doesn’t even count as eating.

We ate some clam with rice, and after satisfying our appetites, our next destination will be the grand Ise shrine. You’d think so, right? But it’s different. The next stop is Matsuzaka, and I think I’m going to try Matsuzaka beef in Matsuzaka.

We didn’t really travel in a hurry, so we lingered until around the evening and went into a very famous Matsuzaka beef restaurant and asked for a fillet or sirloin steak, which was nearly 20,000 yen for 100 grams.

“It melts on my tongue~.”

Canaan, who still has an eye for food, looked happy.

“But Master’s food is better~.”

“Canaan-san is right, Master’s cooking is better.”

Hannah joins in and compliments me on my cooking. I’m happy about that, but please don’t say things like that in the restaurant. See, the waiter’s gaze is getting tighter.

It was good, but Canaan and Hannah’s comments made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like the food was down a few percent from what it should have been. It was very disappointing because it was such good material. In the other world, this wouldn’t be so much of a problem, but this is Japan. It was the moment when I felt that I had to teach them the common sense of Japan.

We stayed at an inn in Matsuzaka and drove the car again. This time we headed to the grand Ise shrine. Grand shrines in Ise have an inner shrine and an outer shrine, so we headed to the inner shrine first. It is so convenient because it is easy to get off the interchange near the grand Ise shrine.

In front of the inner shrine is a place like an approach lined with shops for souvenirs and restaurants. It is a lively place where you can see, touch, and eat various specialties.

The shops lining the pathway seemed to excite the residents of the other world, Canaan, Hannah, Sanya, Antia, and Allie, they were all excited like children.

“Master~, I want to eat that~.”

“Hmm, ah, the red rice cake, huh? Just wait a minute.”

At Canaan’s request, I bought somes red rice cake, the most popular souvenir of the Ise Shrine, and they ate them on the spot.

“Delicious~.”

“The rice cakes are sweet and soft and delicious.”

The way Antia and Allie eat is exquisite and sexy, and the eating scene of Canaan is so pleasant. After eating on the pathway and buying some souvenirs, we went to the grand Ise shrine’s inner shrine to pray.

Amaterasu Oomikami, enshrined in the inner shrine, is the pinnacle of Japanese gods and is the goddess, Hirume-san. After purifying ourselves at the cleansing place, we headed to the main shrine, the Koutai shrine.

This is where Amaterasu Oomikami is enshrined. I threw a money offering into the temple and clapped my hands together, and closed my eyes. The same is true for Ichinose, as well as the other world residents, Canaan, Hannah, Sanya, Antia, and Allie, who also follow my example and pray in the same manner.

Normally, there is a bow at the end, but before I can do so, I’m struck by a different floating sensation.

“It’s been a while, Tsukuru-san.”

“Yeah, it’s been awhile. How have you been?”

“Ufufu, it would be funny if a God like me were to catch a cold.”

“That’s true too.”

Yes, in front of me is the arbor like before with Hirume-san sitting in it. I walked into the arbor and sat down on a chair, and the lady from some time ago offered me a cup of tea.

“Good tea as always.”

“That’s great to hear. Please drink as much as you want.”

My back is a little itchy, and my ass is a little unsettled as the godly and beautiful Hirume-san stares at me.

“I’ve destroyed all the materials and facilities regarding the summoning of heroes technique.”

After giving one another a report on the current situation, we got down to business.

“I can’t thank you enough for dealing with the summoning of the heroes,”

“It’s a ship that I’ve been on, too, after all…”

“But unfortunately, there are still facilities for summoning heroes.”

“What?”

I checked to be sure. I’ve destroyed not only the ones in the Humans’ land, but also the materials and facilities in the land of the Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, Demons, and Giants, and yet there are still others?

“There’s one spot left, just one spot.”

“Where is it?”

“I don’t know.”

“Huh? How do you know that if you, yourself, don’t know?”

“That facility has been used twice in the past. I can still feel a connection from that facility, but I can’t see or hear everything about the world on the other side, so I don’t know where it is.”

“You want me to look for it and crush it, huh… it’s going to take me a long time to find it.”

It’s a ridiculous story, but I’ll use every possible means to find out more than I’ve promised.

“I don’t think so. From what I’ve been able to find out to the best of my ability, the facility is probably located in a place controlled by the Undead race.”

So that means the bastard Shamanile is involved. If I see him again, I’ll make sure he’s dead.

“But Tsukuru-kun has taken care of my request. That’s why I’m going to give you your reward.”

“Are you sure?”

“Ufufu, I believe in you, Tsukuru-san, so it will be fine.”

Hirume-san has a lovely smile, but I can’t ignore the face of God behind that smile. If I abandon the destruction of the last facility, I can sense a keen intent to ensure that I’ll get the punishment I deserve.

“Ufufu, so please try to complete the request until the end.”

As usual, she’s reading my mind.

“All right. I swear to Amaterasu Oomikami that I will complete this request.”

“I’m glad. I have high hopes for you, Tsukuru-san. Now, on the subject of compensation.”

Hirume-san held out her hand, and there was a small, pretty bell on her palm.

“That is…?”

“Give this bell to Sanya-san and have her wear it at all times.”

“…What would happen if I did that?”

“Probably Tsukuru-san has been aware of this for some time now, but Sanya-san is Ayumi-san’s post-reincarnation form.”

“…I knew it.”

It wasn’t too big of a shock. Because somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought it would be. But that’s not to say I wasn’t shaken up at all. My heart was very unsettled when I was told like this that Sanya was Ayumi’s post-reincarnation form.

”It’s Ayumu-san, but the accident that day was a set up, you know?”

“Huh?”

“Ayumi-san was killed, not by accident.”

I stood up.

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t be so upset. I’ll teach you everything I know.”

Hirume-san sipped her tea.

“Well, it wasn’t a Japanese who killed Ayumi-san. Nor are they earthlings.”

“In other words…”

“Yes, from that world where Tsukuru-san was summoned.”

“…..”

“The other world has been interfering quite a bit with our world.”

“Who killed Ayumi…?”

“Ara ara, you’ll frighten the flowers away if you’re releasing such murderous intent, you know. Look at the flowers. The flowers that used to be so lush have withered away.”

Hirume-san looked at the long, quiet scene in front of her.

“…Say it quickly.”

It’s not in nature to be considered worthy.

“Ufufu, it was because the Demon race summoned the Demon King. Just as the Humans summoned a Hero, the Demon race summoned a Demon King, and as a result, Ayumi-san was chosen. However, sadly, the summoning of the Demon King had to be something that had lost a life in this world. Therefore, it was an accident that was caused forcibly by the Demons in order to summon Ayumi-san to be the Demon King. So your parents died as collateral damage.”

Demon race… Demons, and Ayumi… three of them… you’ve got to be kidding me!

“Ah, but Catoblepas, the Demon’s Ancient breed that summoned Ayumi-san to become the Demon King, was killed by Tsukuru-san and the others, right?”

“What? That son of a bitch!”

“Don’t be so angry, sir. Look, your murderous intent is leaking out.”

“…..”

Wait a minute! That bastard, Catoblepas, should have been trapped in that empty world for a long time. When did he summon a Demon King?

“It was before the war of the gods. But Ayumi-san refused to join the war of the gods over there, and was banished by Catoblepas and killed by a human hero.”

Just before the battle of the gods? Is the timeline different between Japan and that world?

“The summons is to choose a soul that can withstand the power, whether it’s a Demon King or a hero. Therefore, the timeline doesn’t matter.”

“…..”

How is that…? Even if a hero hadn’t killed Ayumi, she wouldn’t have met me in that situation…

“Have you calmed down?”

While I was pondering, Hirume-san waited, not saying a word.

“What would happen if I made Sanya wear that bell?”

“The bell won’t ring now, but in a matter of six months at the earliest, or a few years at the latest, it will bring back memories of when she was Ayumi-san.”

“What? S-she will really remember…?”

“Yes, it will bring back memories of her time as Ayumi-san.”

I took the bell fearfully.

“This bell…”

I clutched the bell. Now I could talk to Ayumi again.

“Hey… what happens to Sanya when she gets her memories back?”

“Don’t worry. The fact that the bell doesn’t ring means that Sanya-san and Ayumi-san’s memories have not yet been fused together. When the bell rings, they will safely regain their memories.”

“I see, I’m sorry about everything.”

“Ufufu, that’s not like you, Tsukuru-san. Look, you can always challenge me as you did some time ago, “No one will control me, no one!” Was it?”

“Ugh… forget about that.”

Was she surprisingly holding a grudge on that? She keeps it, right?

  2. Feels a bit unfair towards Sanya like she would lose her own identity, MC already looks at her like she’s his sister and it will be worse when she get the memories of his sister. They might be the same soul but Sanya and Ayumi have their own identities after all.
