Chapter 18 – Inside the Store
William and Wataru left the reception room and moved to the product sales area.
This was a different location from the counter where their first meeting had taken place.
The store was much larger than Wataru had imagined.
There were countless shelves lined up in a room that looked like a large warehouse, and all of the shelves were filled with products.
However, perhaps because the products were neatly organized into categories, there was no sense of disorder.
The counter seemed to be the same system as the storefront, with a clear division between the customer and employee areas.
“Wow, so this is what it’s like inside.”
“This is the area for customers who buy in bulk, and it’s also where we store our stock. Basically, customers who buy small amounts or small quantities are asked to buy from the front counter.”

Aire, on the other hand, stood with her eyes wide open, her nose twitching and her tail wagging.

Satisfied with the reaction of Wataru and the others, William quickly called one of his employees.
Then he left the room to find his wife.
Wataru was about to wait idly when Aire approached him and spoke to him happily.
Her eyes shone with curiosity and anticipation.
“Hey, Master, are you going to buy us some clothes?”
“That’s right.”
“Hey, Aire, that’s not very polite.”
“What, you don’t want it, Mariel?”
“I didn’t say that. I want a change of clothes and some new clothes, too.”
“You can buy whatever you want here.”
“Thank you, Master! I love you!”
“Ah!”
Aire came running over and hugged him, and Wataru was very excited.
His left side was enveloped in a soft, squishy feeling.
It was like being wrapped in a warm, squishy marshmallow.

Wataru himself doesn’t have any strong preferences when it comes to clothes.
However, it’s better not to stand out too much.
And he wants to use something of the highest quality.
These conditions are essential for working in this city, so they became the criteria for making a decision.
Wataru’s lack of particularity must have gotten through to Sandy because she gave a lighthearted answer.
“If you have any good clothes, bags, rings, or necklaces for Mariel and Aire, that would be great. Mariel will be taking care of my personal needs, and Aire will be working as my bodyguard. Oh, and as you can see, she’s a Beastkin, so please take that into consideration as well.”
