Chapter 41 – Ozora Market

The morning after his first experience with the two girls, Wataru was lying on his back in bed, looking pale.

His back and head hurt.

The damage from overdoing it and drinking too much was taking its toll on his body.

He woke up later than usual, and it was far from early in the morning.

He overdid it last night.

“O-ouch…”

“Are you all right, Master?”

“Would you like a potion, Master?”

“Ah, thank you.”

Unlike Wataru, Mariel and Aire’s expressions were bright and radiant.

They looked even sexier than yesterday.

They were still smiling happily when they received Wataru’s gaze.

When he opened the bottle of potion that Aire had given him, Wataru thought that their stamina was too different.

Mariel and Aire were in a state of excitement because of the aphrodisiac.

Wataru had to deal with two people alone.

The difference in burden was too great.

Aire, who boasted of her inexhaustible stamina, was still very active, but Wataru was still left with a deep sense of fatigue the next day.

“(Is it okay to use potions for something like this…?)”

Despite these thoughts, he wanted to get rid of the pain in his body right away.

The hangover was especially bad.

He decided to take it like a headache pill.

There are different kinds of potions depending on their effects.

There are three main types: rapid-acting for acute conditions, slow-acting, and general-purpose for chronic conditions.

These are then ranked according to their quality, with the best being made by the best craftsmen in the best places.

The potion Wataru drank was a cheap, rapid-acting one.

As you might expect, he didn’t feel like using a high-quality one because of the cause.

As he drank the potion, he could feel the pain slowly disappear.

The rapid-acting potion was a little more expensive than the chronic potion, but it worked surprisingly fast.

Even though it was mainly used by soldiers and adventurers to treat battle wounds, it was surprisingly fast.

“Are you two okay?”

“Yes, thanks to you. I feel a little weird though.”

“Nihihi, it felt good yesterday. Let’s do it again, Master.”

While Mariel, who seemed embarrassed but fine, blushed, Aire was very open.

However, if you look closely, her eyes are slightly red, so it seems that she’s not completely fine.

“You’re probably putting more strain on your bodies than I am, so if it’s too much, don’t hesitate to tell me.”

“I’ll take your word for it.”

“I’m really fine. It looks like Master is feeling better after drinking the potion as well.”

Even though he had enjoyed himself so much last night, his lower body was bulging.

However, this was a natural physiological phenomenon for a man, not a sign of lust.

Thanks to this, he was able to calmly deal with Aire’s mocking smile.

“The pain has subsided, so shall we have breakfast? I’d like something light.”

“Let’s have soup and bread for a light meal. Would you like some coffee?”

“Yes, please.”

Coffee is one of the few luxuries that Wataru has brought with him to this other world.

If he doesn’t drink enough caffeine every day, he can’t get motivated.

This tea seemed to be decaffeinated, so he wasn’t satisfied with the taste.

“(Or is there some other kind of drink I don’t know about?)”

People have been drinking various plants as “tea” for health and taste.

It’s not at all strange that there are other teas besides the ones William introduced him to.

Searching for such food and drink was one of Wataru’s pleasures.

After a late breakfast, Wataru and his companions left the inn and walked through the city.

Now that they had completed their main negotiations, their main goal was to purchase the goods they needed for trade.

Of the goods they needed to purchase, they had managed to get a reasonable amount of medicine.

Medicines for chronic diseases are especially expensive and time-consuming to produce, so it is difficult to get a large quantity from a single shop.

After visiting several pharmacies in the city, it seems that in order to make regular purchases in the future, it will be necessary to ask the Apothecaries’ Guild to place regular orders.

However, it would be more efficient to do this at the guild’s home base in Southern Ship Town rather than at Star-gazing Hill.

“Now I just need to find some accessories with granted skills…”

“There’s no place that sells them.”

“They all seem to be taken to the capital.”

There were many shops that sold accessories, but the products with granted abilities were more strictly controlled than he had expected.

The territory was working together to export them outside the territory.

There must be some shops that are lax in their discipline, or in other words, greedy, but so far, all the shops on the main street have firmly refused their request.

After repeated trips to the stores, all they got was a string of rejections, and it was starting to get to them.

“I guess we’ll just have to give up.”

“Even if they grant the ability, we don’t know what effect it will have on us.”

“I heard that some of them make you feel sick or reduce your abilities, right?”

“Yes. Maybe we should have asked the Baron to help us.”

There are probably some places that deal in them, like old merchant houses.

Without a letter of introduction and without any intention of getting to know them, it seems difficult for Wataru and the others to buy them from the shop.

At that moment, Aire suddenly shouted.

“That’s it! I’ve got a good idea!”

“A good idea?”

“You have a good idea?”

“Yes. Today is a day that ends in ten. There’s a market!”

“A market?”

“I see. That’s a good idea.”

Mariel nodded with a satisfied expression, while Wataru didn’t understand what she was talking about.

Wataru decided to listen to the details.

  1. Are there any legal pawnshops in that world? Dealing with desperate people daily must be a chore. Still, that would be better than them getting enslaved for their debts. Or the slaver guild makes it so that there aren’t any, for obvious reasons.
