Chapter 25 – Filial Piety

After dinner, Wataru took a bath, and before he knew it, it was almost time for bed.

Perhaps because he had taken a nap earlier, Wataru didn’t feel like going to sleep right away, and he thought for a while.

(As I thought, continuing to sell the potions in their current form is a risky strategy.)

In the case of Great Yamazaki, Wataru has a reliable companion like Aire, who can deal with direct violence.

However, when faced with legal problems or more indirect attacks, Wataru and his companions have few means of self-defense.

If possible, he needed to change his business methods so that he could provide this legally.

Wataru spent some time researching and thinking on his laptop and came up with two possible solutions.

One was to run a cafe, and the other was to run a bodywork clinic.

In the cafe, he would sell drinks instead of potions.

The argument is that the drinks are not advertised as having any particular health benefits, but the people who drink them happen to get healthier.

The prices are completely different, but the idea is the same as selling raw vegetable juices that are said to be good for your health.

There are several ways to get a license to run a restaurant, such as becoming a chef.

Of these, Wataru’s eye was caught by the “How to Become a Food Hygiene Manager” course, which apparently can be obtained by attending a one-day course of about six hours.

He was able to find out about it.

What’s more, in the case of Osaka, the course can be taken via e-learning, so there’s no need to travel to the venue to take the course.

The course fee is also just over 10,000 yen.

It is even easier to open a bodywork clinic.

For clinics such as orthopedic clinics, bodywork clinics, or acupuncture and moxibustion clinics, it is necessary to have a national qualification as a judo therapist, acupuncture and moxibustion therapist, or anma shiatsu masseur, and it is also necessary to attend school for about three years.

However, it seemed that you could become a bodyworker today if you declared that you were one today.

In other words, it was unlicensed, unqualified treatment.

Most of the relaxation salons and the like that can be found all over Osaka City are unlicensed.

This is a type of business that should be regulated, but since there have been no cases in the past where they have been punished, the current situation is one of “let’s make do with what we’ve got.”

There are also private schools that offer one-week and three-month courses, but Wataru has no intention of becoming a masseur, so he doesn’t need them.

Here, Wataru acts as a masseur, but in reality, he gets people to drink the potion.

In the relaxation salons and the like, they sometimes offer herbal tea after the treatment, so there was an advantage in that it was easy to fool people.

Both of these methods are stopgap measures, but they provide a temporary excuse.

The most legitimate approach would be to set up a pharmaceutical development company, but this would involve a lot of conditions, and it seemed a long way off in terms of funding.

It would be necessary to be able to provide a stable supply of potions and prepare a base for research.

If it was not possible to at least guarantee a stable supply of potions or to produce potions on Earth, there was no way to start.

If he had founded a company and prepared the facilities but failed to achieve any results, it would have been a huge loss.

While Wataru was typing his ideas and plans into his laptop, he heard a knock at the door.

When he looked up and let them in, it was Mariel and Aire.

They were both wearing quite revealing clothes – Mariel was wearing a camisole and Aire a tank top that showed her navel and short shorts that both showed a lot of skin.

The fact that they were both holding pillows made it clear what they were thinking.

“Hey, you guys got your own rooms too. This is your chance to sleep alone in a big room, you know?”

“Nihihi, it’s fine with me, Master. I like sleeping together.”

“If we don’t disturb you, can we sleep together?”

“My goodness. I can’t wait to see what they’ll tell me in the morning.”

“I think they’d be happy if we got along well. Besides, I’m a little homesick today, thinking about my family.”

“Oh, I’m sorry. That’s right.”

Mariel had just told him about her past, Wataru remembered.

It was natural for her to feel fear and sadness after talking about her family, something she probably had kept deep in her heart until now.

He had not been able to consider this and had tried to let her sleep alone, so he felt that he had not been considerate enough.

“Shall we sleep together then?”

“Yes!”

“Hehe, you did it, Mariel.”

“Yes. Thank you, Aire.”

Wataru scratched his head and took the initiative to get into bed, beckoning her to join him.

The two of them, after high-fiving each other, quickly lined up next to the bed.

Wataru turned off his laptop and lay down on his back.

“Well, I think I’m going to sleep. We won’t have sex tonight, so let’s just go to sleep.”

“That’s right. I’d be embarrassed if they heard us.”

“Hey, hey, can I snuggle up next to you?”

“Sure. …Mariel, if you’re lonely, you can snuggle up to me too.”

“I’m happy just to sleep next to you, Master. It’s enough for me to feel you.”

“Come on, don’t be shy.”

“Ah… it’s warm. Thank you.”

Despite Aire’s insistent advances, Wataru held back and hugged the shy Mariel.

Mariel’s face lit up with happiness, and she tentatively touched his body.

With three people lying side by side, the bed was so cramped that it was impossible to turn around, but there was nothing to do but make do.

“Mariel, you’re being too reserved. You could be a little more direct.”

“Hey, Master, can I take my shirt off?”

“No, you can’t. Stop the habit of taking off your clothes when you go to sleep.”

“Ehehehe❤.”

More than anything else, the softness and warmth he felt from the left and right and the good smell excited him as a man, but at the same time, it was very soothing.

Although he had only just gone to bed, he soon fell asleep.

The next morning, his grandparents teased Wataru to his heart’s content.

The embarrassment when Mieko saw the moment when the three of them came out of his room was indescribable.

Even though it was inevitable that they would be found out when they were tidying up the futon, the embarrassment of being caught in the act was different.

Why did he have to run into her at the right moment?

As soon as she told Toru about it, the two of them laughed happily.

Their expressions were lewd as well.

Their smirks got on his nerves.

“Ah, it’s good to be young, isn’t it? Huh? You had fun last night, didn’t you?”

“Wataru-chan, shall I make you something to give you energy?”

“Oh, that’s a good idea. Do you need a nourishing drink as well?”

“Hey, I just went to bed quietly, so don’t worry about cooking for me!”

“Oh, oh, even though he was only here for a little while, my grandson is so angry, it’s scary, Grandma.”

“I guess so. I feel like I’m in danger.”

Even though Wataru tried desperately to express his anger, he didn’t seem to be able to bear it at all.

Wataru thought that if he let things go on like this, he wouldn’t know what they would say, so he decided to change the subject in order to achieve his final goal for this visit home.

He quickly rummaged through the things he had in his room and took them out.

There were two bottles of chronic treatment potion.

“What is this?”

“It’s a medicine made from the plants I asked you to grow yesterday.”

“Can you open it for me? It’s hard to take the top off these bottles these days.”

“I’ll do it. Here, Grandma, have some.”

When Wataru pulled out the cork and handed it to them, Toru and Mieko looked at each other.

“I was just about to eat breakfast. How about you, Grandma?”

“You should drink it first.”

“Well, I’ll try it. I hope it’s not poison, right?”

“Is it revenge from earlier? It smells strange…”

“I told you it was medicine. Drink it quickly!”

Wataru felt bitter as his anger caused him to blurt out words in the Kansai dialect.

Normally, he tries to speak in standard Japanese as much as possible, but then he suddenly finds himself speaking in the Kansai dialect.

The two timidly drink the medicine, and their bodies are enveloped in light.

Toru and Mieko look at their own bodies in surprise.

“What is this? Grandma, you were glowing just now!”

“You too!”

“How do your bodies feel? Grandpa, you said your shoulders and back hurt, right? And your knees, Grandma?”

“Hmm? Oh, now that you mention it, they don’t hurt at all! What is this?”

“Me too! Oh dear, what does that mean? Oh, I can bend over easily now.”

It seemed that the chronic treatment potion was effective even for the elderly.

Wataru was particularly surprised to see that their height had increased by about five centimeters, which seemed to be due to the fact that the wear and tear on their soft tissues, such as their intervertebral discs and knee menisci, had been repaired.

Their posture had also improved, and they looked about 10 years younger than before.

Since they probably suffered from various physical problems, it was not surprising that the effects of the potion had spread throughout their entire bodies.

Of course, he was happy about the effect of the potion, but Wataru was also happy that he showed an understanding of his work.

“You are trying to create an amazing medicine, aren’t you? I’ll take care of your request. I’ll see to it that it grows well.”

“More than that, I want you and Grandma to live a long life. I’ll come back like this.”

“Fufufu… you’re making me cry. Old people’s tear ducts are fragile, you know.”

“That little helpless Wataru has grown into such a fine young man… Uuhh…”

“Oh, you grew up to be such a good boy. When we decided to raise you together, I was worried, but I’m so happy!”

“Yes, yes. Really…”

Toru and Mieko cried and smiled at the same time.

Toru patted Mieko’s back, but she kept her face down and continued to sob.

For a while, they both cried with emotion.

Wataru thought that he would visit them again so that they would always be healthy.

Of course, he would bring Mariel and Aire with him.

I’m sure they would welcome his visit.

One day, in a certain private hospital.

“What is this…? How come the ligaments and cartilage are completely healed? Is it an error in the data? No, it’s the same with this patient and this one, too. What in the world is happening?”

A doctor had begun to notice the changes.
