      2. no….what he said was “hai” in japanese which means that you agree to something or to say that you don’t understand a statement or technically means “what?”, “yes” in english sense… he said “hai” because he was confused on the statement Lexia gave.

Funny thing about Japanese language, the Japanese people are so polite, the even avoid negation in their speech, so when you ask a Japanese person about something they didn’t do, they are likely to answer with “Yes, I haven’t…” instead of “No, I haven’t…” like an average English speaker would, hence his “Yes?” at the end instead of a “Huh?” or “What?” you might usually expect.
