Here’s the chapter, enjoy~
Since the parent and child behind me seemed to be fine, I used the defensive wall I had created to protect myself.
When things started to quiet down, I used my visual enhancement to look around.
There was a golem that had been wrecked.
…The orcs seem like they were reduced to shreds as well.
I stood up and destroyed the defensive wall with my creation hammer, then went to the golem.
I placed my hand on it and rebuilt its body anew.
“Thank you, you really are a big help.”
Both house-building and golem-building were very useful. I figured it would give me more options for fighting than ever before. However, it still took me a while to fully deploy them. I need to train myself to use them more naturally.
“Are you okay?”
“Y-yes… Thank you very much.”
The mother looked at me with relief. When the golem came over, the child touched it with sparkling eyes. The golem gently held the child and lifted him up.
“You’re very strong, aren’t you…?”
“I didn’t actually fight this time. …There were other people who have escaped with you, weren’t there? Do you know where they ran off to?”
“…We were separated when we entered the forest, so I don’t know exactly where they are now.”
So I’ll have to look around some more.
I made three more golems, and my magic power was running low.
While I asked the golems to look for them and drank a magic recovery potion, Camilla-san appeared.
“Relius, I found three of them over here.”
“…Oh, really? So, there’s still one more left.”
Camilla-san came back with three children.
…They are men and women who have not yet reached adulthood.
There’s one more person… but It won’t be easy to find him in this forest.
When I was thinking so, the trees were knocked down.
When I looked over in surprise, I saw a golem returning with a boy.
The boy came running towards us with tears in his eyes.
…They were probably friends.
He was hugging the three people that Camilla-san had saved together.
“That’s a relief.”
Camilla-san was looking at them with a happy smile on her face.
…I do agree with her.
“Everyone, please come with us to our village… we will protect you there.”
“A-are you going to protect us? B-but we… we don’t even have the ability to fight…?”
A young man said in surprise.
…What does he mean?
When I was wondering, Camilla-san whispered to me.
“…In some places, the children are abandoned. Because even though they are not capable of fighting, they have to eat.”
“…So that’s how it is.”
…It is hard to obtain food here. What can be commonly found are the bluestone monsters. Many of them have rotten meat… and they don’t look like they can be eaten in the first place.
“Is anyone here hungry?”
“…W-we haven’t eaten… much… lately, so we’re all really hungry.”
“I see. Well, if that’s the case, why don’t we walk back and get something to eat?”
My words made everyone look up as if they were surprised.
As long as I’m around, there’s no need to worry about food. To make them think so, I produced a hamburger with my blacksmith ability.
“Please feel free to eat. I have some drinks too. Would you like to have some freshwater? Or juice?”
“H-how can food be so easy to get?”
“I-is that an item box? B-but still… W-we can’t have it! We’ve been rescued, and now to receive such valuable food…”
“I can produce food with my magic power. And when we get back to the village, everyone will be making various kinds of food too.”
Food was stored in a magic tool in the inn’s kitchen. The purpose of that was so the remaining children in the village would be able to cook themselves.
Everyone’s eyes widened at my words.
“The power to create food?”
“T-that’s such an amazing power…”
“T-that’s amazing… and the golem from earlier, too…”
I handed over some swords while smiling at everyone.
…The three people that Camilla-san saved now had swords on their hips.
“Have you ever held a sword before?”
“…Y-yeah. The bluestone monster can be stopped by slashing its legs too. …Though their legs can be regenerated immediately.”
“In that case, please use this sword. The sword I made prevents the bluestone monster from regenerating.”
The three of them raised their voices. At that moment, a bluestone monster appeared between a gap in the trees.
It’s a wolf monster.
I gave a small sigh, grabbed the sword I was about to hand over, and headed towards it.
The bluestone monster pounced at me. I dodge its attempt to bite me and lift up the sword. The wolf’s body was cut in half, and the corpse fell to the ground.
Of course, it did not regenerate.
“This sword can defeat them. Use it to defend yourself.”
Their eyes sparkled, and they equipped the swords at their waist.
Now, all we have to do is return to the village.
We returned to the village with the six people we had saved. Now the sky has become completely dark.
“W-what is this village?”
“I-it’s amazing…! I’ve never seen such an amazing town before…”
“Isn’t this strange? W-what’s with the solid walls?”
Everyone seemed to be surprised. It might be the first time they’ve seen a solidly built village, or it might be something they haven’t seen in a while.
Then Bard-san came over to us.
“Relius-san, did you find them all?”
“Yes. How is the treatment going for the person we rescued earlier?”
“Everything is fine!”
Bard-san saluted, and Bian-san came up from behind him.
“I-I’ve prepared some food for you guys…! N-now! P-please, come to the inn!”
Bian-san said, pointing toward the inn with a tight smile.
“…T-the house is solid too.”
“I-I never thought that there would be such a safe village…”
Bard-san came up alongside the children who had been rescued.
“This village, too, was just a row of houses like that until yesterday.”
He pointed to a house that was still in shambles.
“Eh? B-but… there are a lot of wonderful houses now, aren’t there?”
“All of them were constructed by Relius-san.”
“Eeeh? How can you build something like these?”
Everyone’s eyes widened as they looked at me again.
